He likes that old time rock and roll...

Don't try to take him to a disco. You won't even get him out on the floor.

6 Weeks Old: Rockin' Tommy Boy

 Tommy  is smiling now!
 Who's ready to rock???

 Tommy is!
(I hope you like my misshapen Paint flying V guitar.)

 What you talkin' 'bout Brian?

He also likes to stuff both hands in his mouth at the same time.  So cute.

Bear Down!

My mom, dad, brother Adam and Steph all came to visit on Sunday to watch the Bears game.  I wish I would have taken a picture of all of us because we all had our jerseys on but alas, no picture.  Darnit.  But of course I took boatloads of pictures of Tommy.  I bet you find that hard to believe.

Anyway, here are Tommy's reactions to the game...
 Go Bears!!

Did Cutler seriously arrive to the game in a purple scarf??

Yikes.  Not going so well, Bears.

 Eww, even worse.

Cutler's "hurt"?

 Lookin' good, Collins.

Hanie looks like Matt Damon from True Grit.

Game over.

The Girls Visit Tommy

On Saturday 3 of my friends from college came to visit little Tommy (and I think they wanted to visit me too).  We had a great time.  We played games and I had two whole beers! WHOA!
We took this picture at 2:30 in the morning.  No one really liked this picture.  (Me, Mandy, Traci, Amanda)
We tried again the next morning.  We liked this one a little better.  I am totally nursing in this picture.  HA! Had to cut poor Tommy from the picture.  Not that you could see anything but I'm sure people don't want to see that. :)
Look at Tommy!! He is so funny! I think he has his father's charm! :)
He also flashed a few flirtatious smiles.  So cute!
He also made a few grumpy faces.  Mandy is definitely not pooping in this picture, but I think Tommy is.
We also took one last picture before they left.  It was great to see you ladies! I hope we can do it again sometime!!!

Tommy Bear

On his way to do some shopping at the mall...

He does not like the mall. Target he likes, but the mall? No stinkin' way.

Cha Cha Cha

When you become a parent, your life becomes a poopfest. You are constantly talking about it, looking at it, cleaning it, finding it in places you shouldn't...

Well anyway, the Thornburgs also sing about it. Tommy has some powerful movements. They are loud and proud. One night he had an especially loud movement and it made us think of the song from Elementary School.
(The song shall remain nameless on this blog. No need to say it.)

We made up a few new verses for Tommy.

(I used this picture because he kinda looks like he's pooping.)

When you're sitting with your mom and you drop a butt bomb...

When you're sitting in your boppy and your butt gets really sloppy...

(Now try getting that song out of your head the rest of the day!)

Sleepy Boy

Tommy fell asleep on his hand last night.

When he sat up, he looked like this...

Poor kid had a handprint on his face so indented you could see his fingernails!

Looks like he was slapped across the face. He was Baby Slapped!!

Happy One Month Tommy!

Today was Tommy's one month appointment. I can't believe it's been a month already!

Here he is on his way to the doctor...

He fills out this outfit much better than he did when he came home from the hospital. That's because he's growing so fast!
His height (or length) is 22 1/4 inches. He's in the 75th percentile. His weight is 9 lbs 2 oz which is the 25th percentile. Basically he's long and skinny.

The doctor said he was a good baby until he peed on him. Whoops!

He said his fencing reflex was really good.

Long and skinny!
What Whaaaat!!

Happy 1 month, Tommy Boy!!

Our New Year's Rockin' Eve

This is what you do when you have a 3 week old on New Year's Eve.

Actually I think we have done something similar to this many times before but there was no baby but a LOT of alcohol involved.  Yay Scissor Sisters!
