Summer Camp Field Trip to the Zoo

Someone backed out of going on the field trip to the zoo so I was able to snatch that spot up. Special bonus: I got to take a day off work and see animals! Yay!
I only had 3 kids in my group.  Tommy and these two sleepers.  Made my job easy!!

We saw many animals, starting with seals.

Then we hit up the dolphin show.

We saw in the Splash Zone.  I've never done that before.  Some of us got EXTREMELY wet.   I got lucky and didn't get very wet at all.  Yay!

But much to my dismay, rain DUMPED on it shortly thereafter. Dang it!

Tommy is a big fan of felines.  He was so happy to see the tiger, as you can tell.

Those darn tigers are so huge that even behind a window, when they walk by you, still terrifying.

Tigers don't like rain either.  She was running all over the place when it starting pouring.  Put on a good show though.

I had two sleepers to my right and one sleeper on my lap on the bus on the way home.  I was so glad I was able to go.  It was a fun day.

Meeting Miss Emry

Baby Cousin Wyatt has a new baby sister! The kids were so excited to meet her.
She wasn't as excited to meet them.  She did a lot of sleeping.  :-)

She is a doll baby though, isn't she?

Emry just couldn't handle the noise noise noise! Those crazy, wrestling cousins!

Wyatt had a great time playing with his cousins. Charlotte has no idea what that device is she's holding.  Phones don't have cords!!

I didn't want to get two cups dirty so I made/let them share with two straws.

The kids also took over Wyatt's water table. They had so much fun.

Charlotte wanted to hold Emry so badly but she cried as soon as she tried so she was a little upset about it.

She was happy to be in a picture with her though. :-)

She definitely loves her baby cousin!

They both thought she was something special.  Yay for new baby cousins!

Indy 500 2017

The night before the Indy 500 we went to Jack and Cec's graduation party where the kiddos were gifted some amazing masks and they wore them throughout the party.
They were a hit!

So Adam and Emily and friends went to the race the next day too and sent us this picture as a challenge.

We took this picture as a Challenge Accepted! :)

Chris Pine waved the flag this year.  I do so love the pageantry of the race.  My fave part.

Here's a pic of the boys bro-ing out.

Followed by a picture of the girls sissing out, I guess.  I bought us matching Target sunglasses for the occasion.

Here's a group picture of our seats.

We also went up to Adam and Emily's seats for a bit.  It was soooo much nicer up there.  Nice breeze and shade.

We were almost sitting directly in front of them.  It was sooo hot down there.

Hey! We've done this before! It's been awhile!

That do rag is amazing. Thanks for letting me borrow it, Di.

Time for some end of race group pictures!

Gotta take a couple's picture too!

Hey  we've done this before too! Ha!!

Another successful race in the books! Happy Memorial Day!
