Look at her. She's walking!
She started taking steps a few weeks ago. She's really getting the hang of it now!!
PS- You might remember Tommy walking all that time ago. Here's the post for comparison. http://morgburg.blogspot.com/2011/11/tommy-walks-and-does-other-things.html

Sunday Morning at the Park
We took the recyclables to the center on Sunday morning which means we had to stop at the park.
Tommy brought his bike!! Lots of space to ride! He was so excited.
The fountains were at full throttle!
A sweet Dada/Charlotte moment by the train tracks
Tommy waited for a train to come but we had no luck.
Then he got to ride his bike around the kid's fountain. That was pretty awesome. He stayed dry for the most part until he decided to throw his shoe in the fountain after we told him not to. Then he immediately decided he had to go get it. He walked directly into the eye of the storm and got completely soaked.
This was apparently a surprise for Tommy. He was not pleased. We only had an extra pair of shorts with us so Tommy had to go skins for the rest of the day.
She also enjoyed sitting by the fountain and not getting wet. :)
There goes Tommy in only his shorts and wet shoes! I'm sure people were surprised to see that.
It was a long way back to the car but it was a super fun morning at the park/pedestrian bridge. Only one foul moment. Not too bad!
First Purdue Game of the Season
Gooooooo Boilers! Tommy, Andrew, Pop, Aunt Erin, Uncle Doug and I went to the first Purdue game of the 2014 season. Gaga stayed home with Charlotte.
We walked completely out of our way, following the direction of our fearless leader Andrew, to get to the ticket office. Ah, it didn't matter. We wanted the exercise, right? We wanted to sweat before the game even started. Ha!It didn't help that the ticket office was 100 degrees inside. Tommy had to sit down and eat some snacks. What are you looking at, swan?
We picked out some sweet seats. I always enjoy watching the cheerleaders. We had long discussions trying to figure out which squad was which. There were so many squads. We had no idea what each one of them does. (Cheerleaders with dudes, cheerleaders without dudes, pom squad, dance team, baton girls? So confusing. I need a chart.) :) . Might need some research to figure that out.
The golden boys enjoyed some awesome bonding time. :)
Here's Tommy sitting with two of his favorite things: skittles and Pop!
Here's Andrew getting "left hanging" by Tommy.
Tommy got a bit bored and decided everyone needed to see his belly.
Here's another Tommy-is-bored activity.
After a righteous win (hopefully we see another win this season but no promises), we headed back to our cars. Tommy loves riding on Dada's shoulders.
Charlotte was suited up for the game wearing Tommy's old jersey from way back when. Must have given Purdue that extra bump for the win.
I wanted to get a family Purdue pic but I didn't get that done. Next time hopefully! Here comes FALL! Yay football, cooler weather and changing leaves!

My Children Are Hilarious
I don't really need words for these pictures.
CHEEEESE. He loves chocolate icing. Delish!
As much as Blue Eyes loves her spaghetti! What a mess!
Here's Charlotte enjoying a time-out somewhat imposed by Tommy. Tommy does not enjoy getting bitten by a teething almost one year old.
Look at these two. They are just awesome.

Indiana State Fair 2014
We had so much fun at the state fair last year that we decided to take the kids again this year.
Our first stop was the beef tent. We brought food for Tommy but we wanted to try to eat at the fair. GREAT idea. (Where's the sarcasm font?) We checked the buns, the chips, we asked how the dog was cooked. They said it was all-beef. He took one bite and freaked out. He knew immediately. He puked in the street. We covered it with napkins and left. Such a bummer. We still can't figure out what was in the hot dog that would make him puke. Argh, frustrating. Charlotte enjoyed her part of Tommy's lunch. String cheese! Yum!
Our lunch consisted of more than just deep fried oreos but this was definitely the best part.
Charlotte practiced her fair queen wave all day!!!
I am serious! ALL DAY! She waved at everyone. It was too cute.
Tommy rode pretty much every single possible ride he could.
He loved that slide!
He loved the spinning dragons too!
Here's Charlotte's version of a ride.
Oh wait, she did get a to ride a ride: The carousel!
She also got to visit the lactation station. Great idea to have but they are NOT private. I could see everyone walking by and they could see me. Awkward!
Tommy enjoyed the John Deere Tractors of course.
He accidentally turned on the hazards. Whoops! He was pretty excited about that.
Charlotte took a mini nap while this was all happening.
This turned out pretty cute. Tommy and Daddy on the farm. E-I-E-I-O!
Tommy got a new yellow John Deere. (Did you know they made those?)
Charlotte was still sleeping during the Glass Barn visit so she missed the photo opportunity.
Then we visited the Midway where there was one kids rides among all the other crazy rides.
Then we went BACK to kiddie land to use the rest of our tickets. Took a trip on the ferris wheel.
(Yes his sticker says "I rode a pony".)
Tommy and mommy on the bumblebees selfie!
This was like the 5th time he went down this slide I think. He loved it!
Another carousel ride! Use those tickets! :-)
While we were riding rides, my mom and dad took Charlotte to the drafting horses show in the Coliseum. We came in the at the end of it. It was pretty entertaining. All the ladies were wearing sequins gowns and they played pretty much every song from Oklahoma. Those horses are amazing!
We ate dinner at Chili's after we left the fair. It was a good thing. After the incident with Tommy puking in the street, we weren't going to take anymore chances. Plus I got my deep fried oreos so I was happy.
I held my phone up for Charlotte to see herself and she took several selfies. #chilisselfie
We had a great time at the Indiana State Fair. Can't wait to take the kiddos back next year!
