Class of 2000 Reunion Weekend

We went back to Rensselaer last weekend for my 10 year high school reunion.  But that wasn't all we did that weekend...

FRIDAY
On Friday we were able to make it home in time for the FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! :) Bomber Football!!!

The #2 in 2A Renssy Bombers were playing the #1 in 3A and defending state champions, the West Lafayette Red Devils.  It was Rensselaer's Homecoming too.  No pressure!

It was a great game! The Bombers crushed the Red Devils 27-10.  It was so awesome to see.  Coach Meeks started when my class was in high school so it was great to see how he has created and built such an impressive football program for our school.  Way to go, Bombers!

It was really hard to take pictures from far away at night.  :(

Look at all the students waiting to rush the field! They were patient at least.

Then, as is the weekly tradition, the Bomber football players spread out (with all the students) and did their Bomber Jacks to celebrate their victory.  Poor Westside kinda got shoved off the field in the back right corner of the picture there.  Awww. :(

Here's a picture of my dad and Adam in the press box.  My dad does the music for the Bombers.  In fact, he's FAMOUS (Northwest Indiana Times Article-- A MUST READ)! Yes, please read the article.  It mentions my dad by name in the fourth section down titled "Overhead Music".  Number One, Baby!!! He's a music wizard!

SATURDAY MORNING
On Saturday morning, we drove down to the Westside (where the embers were still burning from the incineration of the Red Devils) and visited the Purdue tailgate.
Wyatt was there looking extra cute in his Boiler jersey.

He still likes howling and it's funny every time! :)

Claire, Katie and I at the tailgate.  The weather was absolutely perfect that day.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

THIS? This is my high school reunion.  I believe there were 24 people there from our class, two of which were boys.  It was beyond sad.  It was pathetic.  As it turns out, people don't need reunions anymore because they can find out everything they need to on Facebook.  THANKS FACEBOOK.  :-/

SATURDAY EVENING

Later that night, we met at the Pub for dinner and drinks.  The Bangles, or the OCG's as we called ourselves, reunited next to a weird golfer statue.  :)

Andrew and Tristan enjoyed the beverages....

and the girls sat around told gross stories about labor, or reminisced about great high school memories.
We laughed so hard that I think I have ab muscles again.
Haha, just kidding. Have you seen my belly?

There were definitely more people that showed up that night which was fun.  Haven't seen some of these girls for a long time!
Who replaced me in this picture with Barney the Purple Dinosaur?? What's up with that?

SUNDAY

We brought Brian home with us this weekend.  He really enjoys his time on Grandma and Grandpa's farm.
But this weekend, he was lucky enough to get a visit from a special friend.  The neighbor dog Daisy (a wonderfully sweet pup) came over to play.
Brian was in heaven (except for the fact that he couldn't run free like Daisy, but who's fault is THAT, Mr. Brian Lancelot Thornburg???).
