32 Weeks: 8 Months Down, 8 weeks to go!

Yes, that's a picture from the weekend at the Millennium Park Fountain.  Belly (and surprisingly, feet) are getting bigger by the second! Annnndddd apparently water is starting to shoot out of my ear.

Babycenter.com:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Um, jicama?? What is that? Apparently it's also known as a mexican turnip or a yam bean.  Interesting.  But I'm sure Baby T will be the cutest yam bean you've ever seen!

Alphamom.com:
Your baby:
-Is about three pounds, 11 ounces and 16 inches long.
-Is starting to get pretty crowded in there, so you may feel more subtle, rolling-type movements instead of sharp pointy kicks.
You:
-May notice a slight change in your belly shape over the next few weeks — kind of…downward sloping. Not so much of a nice shelf for your bowl of ice cream as you’ve had in the past.
-This change also might signal the retirement of some of your maternity clothes and you’ll need longer shirts instead of just roomy shirts. I can pretty much guarantee that the shirts that no longer fit will be the cutest ones, dammit.

The Thornburgs

We finished our birthing class and we have the certificate to prove it! We can now officially have this baby! Ha.  Now we have two more elective classes: a breastfeeding class and an After the Baby Comes class.
So we don't do things like this...
