Meet Me in St. Louis... for a wedding!

Near the end of September, we took off to St. Louis for a wedding of one of Andrew's relatives/good friend from high school.
We stopped in the middle of Illinois to eat at a Cheddar's. Took a quick smirking pic to send to the kids.

We checked into our hotel and they put us on the freaking 13th floor.  I honestly thought hotels were not allowed to have 13th floors.  I usually check and I've never seen my hotel have a 13th floor.  Maybe I don't stay in enough hotels? Hmm...

The wedding was at the beautiful Piper Palmer House at Tower Grove Park.  It was a beautiful setting!

We were sitting way in the back so I had to steal someone else's picture.  Beautiful though, right?

Inside the facility was cool.  Outside was hotter than blue blazes. It was nice to be a woman that day to be able to wear a dress and not a suit.

Lucky for us, our table was inside the building.  All those poor schmucks were outside and we got the sit next to the food. Saaaaa-weet! But we had to go outside anytime there was a speech or dance or anything happening so we missed a lot.  But they had a macaroni and cheese bar!! Awesome-sauce!

The boys from Syracuse got a picture.  They had a special friend from London join their picture. He told us a pretty good dirty joke.  I wish I could tell it as well.

After the wedding, we went to the couple's favorite bar.  It was a politically themed bar and Andrew fit right in with his red tie.  Doesn't he look presidential?

President Drewfus and James "Brad" Bond.

We had a great time at the wedding but it was time to head home.  Goodbye, Gateway to the West!

But the bride and groom sent some mini arches home with us. :-)

We drove by the Effingham Cross at the Crossroads too.  That thing is massive.  We were one of 50,000 people that drove by it that day.

Another couple selfie as we enter Indiana.  Almost home after a fun day away in another city.  St. Louis, you deserve another visit! I'm sure we'll be back!
