The Thornburton Wedding

Look at these kids! Don't they look like they're about the gain an uncle??
Yep, the fam packed up and headed to Wisconsin for Aunt Cait's wedding!

I don't think we lasted a half an hour before we have to turn on movies. :-)

We didn't even make it to Merrillville before we had to stop for food.  Yum Jimmy Johns!

Like his sandwich, Tommy is such a ham.

Back on the road! QUICK, turn on movies!!!
Annnnddddd.... we had to stop again.  This time it was at one of the Oasis rest stops.  That was exciting to eat chips/bananas and watch the traffic go by for a bit.

On our way again. We must be in Wisconsin since we started passing cheese castles! Ha, actually this particular Mars Cheese Castle.  Looked interesting but we drove on by.  We were already running late from all the stops.

It was time for the rehearsal dinner.  We barely made it to our hotel room to change and make it to Doc's on the Fox for the rehearsal.  But we did and immediately started climbing whatever we could find.

While we waiting for our yummy food, the kids played games on their ipad.

Wyatt entertained us with a song.

Charlotte entertained Wyatt with her infamous stories.

We had a great time but it was time to take the elevator up to bed.

In the morning we took the elevator back down to GO SWIMMING! The kids were so excited.

Pool party time!!

After our pool party, we decided to burn off some energy at Micky D's.

It had an AWESOME playplace.  We don't normally eat at McD's because their allergy menu isn't very user friendly AND their fries have a milk derivative in them.  Tommy LOVES fries so we just never go.  But today, we were feeling ballsy so we decided to try it.  Tommy has a decent system where he touches things to his tongue to see if his body will start to react.  If it starts to tingle, he won't eat it.

So we decided to throw caution to the wind and let him test them out.  He had about 3 fries before he was like Yeah I'm good and scarfed down the rest.  Pretty exciting for him!  Notes for his allergy file- Add McD's Happy Meals with Chicken Nuggets! Whoo hoo!

After pool time and McD's, we came up to the room to clean up for the wedding.  Charlotte was the flower girl and she had to get her spa treatments in.

Once everyone was ready, we visited with Wyatt in his room.

We headed over to the wedding site.  So neat, you must check it out. It's called the Farm at Dover. So cool.

We had some time before the wedding started so we played and hung out with family.

The Thornburg ladies got a picture together. Awww!

Charlotte also got some pictures by herself.

Once she realized she was a supermodel, she REALLY got into it.  It was hilariously adorable.

More time to chill before walking down the aisle.  The weather was so beautiful that day.  Sun was shining and it wasn't too cold.  Charlotte didn't even want to wear her coat!

She walked down the aisle with a bit of bribery (a gigantic look and find princess book).

She threw one handful of flowers while walking down the aisle and proceeded to dump the rest on the ground at her seat.  She really did great though.  So proud!

Here's another ring bearer with his fancy tie.

The ceremony was beautiful.

Wyatt was Dapper Dan in his Sunday best.

Ok kids, seriously this will be the last picture.  Please just smile for the family picture. Haha! :) We were out of bribes at this point but they did fantastic.

Ok just the two of you.  One more picture, nice smiles, you can do it!

OK kids, just ONE more picture.  Just one, come on. One. You can do it.  Ok this is as good as it gets at this point. :)

As soon as the pictures were over, they broke into dance.  They could not be stopped.  They didn't even need any music.

It was time for the bride and groom to enter the reception!

Everyone gave really great speeches.

The father of the bride welcomed Uncle Scott to the family.

Then it was time for the dancing to officially begin.

This definitely looks like a typical family picture!

Get that groove on!

They played Life on Mars for Tommy and Charlotte!! Awww!

Tommy asked Andrew's Aunt Jill to dance and it was probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

But then it got late.  Tommy actually asked to lay down.  WHAT? That has never happened.  It didn't last long.  He was back up and dancing shortly after.

But when Charlotte also asked to lay down, we knew it was time to go home.

I took some pictures of the barn before we left.  It was seriously so cool.

Check out the view from walking to our car.

On Sunday, we headed home.  We stopped way less on the way home.  Much more manageable. What a fun weekend for everyone.  Congrats to the Thornburtons on their wedding and welcome (officially) to the family, Uncle Scott!
