More Brother and Sister Love

I don't even know what to say except that I just adore these two little pumpkin eaters.  :)

I love how he reads her books!!

I love their bath time together.

I love how they discover things together.

Now he takes her for a drive!!

He does a really good job of keeping her safe and she LOVES going along for the ride!

(This is my channel so all the videos will play in succession. Enjoy! Hopefully you don't get stuck in a youtube spiral, like I do.)

Special Birthday Announcement!

I haven't done any birthday posts in a long time but this is a special occasion.  My older bro turned 40 last week.  What a big time birthday! I had to say something!
Here are a couple more family pics to see how far you've come! ;-)

Happy Birthday Bro! Hope it's the best one yet!!

On the Road to Becoming a Big Brother

The hospital where I am going to give birth offers classes of all kinds.  Tonight we decided it might be fun for Tommy to attend the class for brand new siblings called "Especially for Children."  It was free and we would get a tour of the hospital so we went for it.  Andrew ended up getting stuck in Fort Wayne for work so I had to take him by myself. Not a problem but taking Tommy anywhere by myself at this stage is pretty darn exhausting.

The nurse giving the class said she would fit the class to the age group that was there.  There was a 10 year old, 4 four-year olds and 2 two-year olds.  So the class was a little above Tommy's head but he did great.
The first part of the class was a movie. Sweet! It featured a pirate and a parrot named Carrot. The movie talked about what was going to happen when the baby arrived.  Or ARRRRRRRived, I guess. Ha!

Then we practiced changing, swaddling and holding a baby.  He's a natural! Except he was poking the baby in her eyes and mouth.  Might want to work on that.

We went on a tour of the delivery unit.  All the kiddos took turns pressing buttons on the beds to raise it up and down.  Now that's a treat!

They also enjoyed looking out the window to the parking lot.

Since Tommy Hawk was such a good boy, we had Chick-Fil-A for dinner.  You're looking at a guy who was well-behaved AND stayed dry all through the class! I was wayyyy too afraid to let him attend wearing big boy undies so he wore a pull-up but he would have been fine. What a big boy!

I think someone is ready to take on that big brother role! Way to go, Thomasaurus!

The Thornburgs Have Some Big News!

We're expanding our house by two feet!
Baby T2 is on his or her way!

THIS little man is going to be a big brother...
Can you tell he loves his new shirt??

Thanks Zulily!

He actually was not a big fan of his new shirt as you can tell from the outtakes above.  I hope that's not how he feels about getting a sibling!  Poor Tommy won't be the center of attention all the time anymore.  We keep asking him if he wants a brother or sister.  For awhile he was saying brother (or actually more like "brudder") but then the other night out of nowhere he said sister.  I hope he likes what's in store for him.  I think he will be totally excited to have a sibling once he realizes he'll always have someone to play with.

So Baby T2 will be making his/her debut in September! Wish us luck!
