Saturday in the Park/That's Apptastic

Last Saturday we went to the park with Tommy who was wearing his Batman shirt with the attached cape. He ran around fighting crime all morning!
I took a boatload of pictures and I didn't want to bore you with park picture after park picture after paaarrrkkk piiiiiiccccctttuuuurrreeee.  So I pulled up a couple of trusty ol' apps and had a little fun. The first app I used was Instacollage with a nice app for throwing pics together easily.

He Capital L Loved the swing! Whee!!

For my next APP, I chose Halftone so I could make a quick comic book for all y'all.
I love that cape blowing in the wind as he climbs up the slide.

Yes you are supposed to read that in a Schwartzenegger voice.

Batman/Aquaman?

Yep I wrote "geen gas".  That's exactly how he says it too.  Geen gas, geen gas, geen gas!

You're supposed to use your imagination here, folks.  Pretend that's not a swing but a Repelling Device for a Superhero.

I looked of the spelling of little boys' ray guns and that's what the internet gave me.  Pyew pyew pyew

That cartoon cloud just appeared in my picture after I took it, no effects needed.  He was running that fast.
I was trying to create the whole explosion-happening-while-he-walks-away-in-slow-motion thing.

Once again, Superhero Tommy saves the day!

Future Blackhawks Right Here

Friday night Andrew and I went ice skating. Yes, ice skating... in June. Weird right? But Andrew's friend joined a local hockey league and told Andrew he should join too. Andrew had never skated before so he decided to give it a try at Open Skate on Friday night.

Look at the look on his face. I guess he's really not sure what to think about it. He really improved in just an hour of skating. I was impressed. He started out skating mostly by the wall like this.
But then he let go of his "training wheels" and it looked a little more like this.

As you can kind of see in the video, ice skating is fairly popular in South Bend even in June. I think once Andrew feels a little more comfortable on skates, he'll probably join the league. Maybe I can join next year!

Did we buy a new wreath or did Brian win the Derby this weekend?

Shake it like a Polaroid Picture

FI have a lot of pictures.  I'm not kidding.  I have waaaaaayyy too many.   I've been taking pictures since..... since.... (Kanye reference) Prince was on Apollonia, since OJ had Isotonas, don't act like I never told ya...

Anyway, I'm always looking for new ways to use these thousands of pictures.  Well today I found some "new ways".  MOTIVATIONAL POSTERS!!

Saturday Night's Alright (For Eating at Don Pablo's )

I went home this weekend to see some family and celebrate my aunt and grandma's birthdays.  As is the family tradition when I see my nieces, I must take their pictures and they must take mine.
So.... on with the show...

Here's Lilli before she began her chemistry experiment on a glass of water with salt, pepper, hot sauce and limes.

She flits, she floats, she fleetly flees, she flies...

She is the walrus. Goo goo g'joob.

Looks like we have a little mini Photobomber on our hands, huh? :)

Surprisingly, Photobombette was able to get a picture of me with my iPhone. The kid has no problem with technology.

Oh yes, of course.  The whole reason we went to Don Pablos was to see Grandma and Aunt Debbie in SOMBREROS!! ¡Andale! ¡Andale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Yii-hah! Tacos! Burritos! Enchiladas!!!!

Grandma looks beyond thrilled.

After a tasty meal, we went to Igloo Frozen Custard for ice cream.  As it turns out, we weren't the only ones visiting Igloo.  This car was parked next to us.

Strange things are afoot at the frozen custard...

Are you kidding me? These people exist?
Indiana Ghost Doctors

They've been to Moody Road in Rensselar! They're trying to debunk that story.  I'll debunk THEM!

The Thornburgs Saw Their Future Last Night

This skit came on and Andrew goes, "I hope it's Metal!"

By the way, there was only one other sketch that was worth watching last night.  I was disappointed, Kutcher (or actually, WRITERS)!!

Two other exciting things happened this weekend. First, we saw Avatar in IMAX in Portage.  It was AWESOME as to be expected.

This is what we looked like when we came home.
Actually, Andrew did not want to be an avatar and made fun of my crafty Paint artwork by saying, "Must be the same software that they used in the movie."  Jerk.  :)  I think we look amazing. HAHA!!

Second story from the weekend...
We woke up in the middle of the night to Brian convulsing.  He was shaking so badly it woke us up.  He had this look in his eyes full of fear, his ears were pinned back, and he wouldn't move.  Andrew said, "I think he's having a seizure."  We kind of just stare at him blankly and try to calm him but nothing is working.  Then we try to get him to stand and he can't.  We're starting to panic when we realize the simple the solution.

He had to poop.  He had to poop so bad that he couldn't even walk.  Andrew had to physically pick him up and carry him down to the back door.  He was so scared he might poop in the house that he was shaking.  Are you kidding me, Brian??? You had to poop so bad that you couldn't stand???? Why did you wait until you were convulsing to let us know?
So for that, I'm putting an embarrassing picture up for your punishment.

Oh dogs. I wish I had time to make him an Avadog...
