Charlotte Turns FOUR!

Charlotte celebrated her birthday at school.
They took a super cute class picture with Charlotte front and center.

Charlotte chose frosted donuts with sprinkles for her birthday treat.   The class LOVED it.  Charlotte loved being the star of the show.

I picked Charlotte up early that day.  We went and got our hair done.  Charlotte was so excited.  I actually had to leave her and go around the corner to get my hair done separately.  She did really great though and it got me out of the salon early without being asked to buy products. Whoo hoo!

I had informed Charlotte of our plans and she was so excited to tell everyone she was going to get her hair done and then go to Chuck E Cheese.  So that is exactly what we did.  She was super excited to ride the horse.

I couldn't believe she wanted to do the roller coaster game.  This game (ride?) was a little rough.  It shakes and turns and you feel like you're on a roller coaster.  It was kind of crazy.  Poor Charlotte's head wasn't quite tall enough to be on the pad so it had to be uncomfortable but she didn't care.  She wanted to ride again.  Not this girl.  I was dunzo.  Barf.

It is a cool idea though!

Charlotte rode another one of her favorite rides (?), the mini carousel.  She pretended to be asleep on it.  She is so funny.

Andrew and Tommy met us at Chuck E Cheese.  Then Charlotte and I escaped once again and picked out cupcakes at Gigi's.  YUM!

The following weekend was Charlotte's party! I did make the invitation but I did NOT mail them out.  I used an app this year.  I am becoming much more of a no muss no fuss mom which is so exciting.  Instead of hand making all the food, cakes, and decorations, I bought decorations online, bought a Target cake, and ordered pizza.  Fantastic!

Here's the beautiful birthday girl in her unicorn shirt!

I took a picture to Meijer of the cake I wanted and they were not very accommodating.  But TARGET on the other hand, basically recreated this fantastic cake from scratch.  Incredible! They even included the paisley design on the side.  Are you kidding me?? (Is it because they practically know who we are because we visit 3 times a week? Maybe. ;)

Time to blow out the candles!

I ordered these crazy unicorn horns (yes, people made dirty jokes about them) from Walmart online.  Who would have thought?

It was time to open presents! Everyone was watching closely. (Just kidding. Cake coma.)

Lovely picture of this trio! :)

Charlotte loved all her presents.  She got some really fantastic stuff.

Uncle Adam had to help put together the Frozen Lego set that she got.  She is so excited to become a master builder like her big bro.

You can bet that as soon as the Frozen castle was made, Tommy jumped in and weaponized it.

She got this amazing mermaid blanket.  Charlotte was a big fan.

She also got a lot of fun books.  I believe this is the exact moment Emily had to read the word FART. :) LOL!

Hey look, it's Mama and Dada in our unicorn horns and shirts.  We look dashing. :)

The birthday girl and her mama.

After all the fun, we played outside because of course it was a beautiful September day.

Tommy and many others had fun playing b-ball.

We actually remembered to get a family picture.  Yay!! Another classic!

Happy Birthday to you, Miss Charlotte! We love you so much!

Charlotte Loves Haircuts

With Aunt Cait's wedding coming up, Charlotte needed a haircut.  Charlotte loves her visits to the salon!
She watched the whole time and made faces in the mirror.

She listens very well! I don't think you need to put your head that far down, Charlotte. :)

She's so serious during the whole process!

But she offered to put a braid in her hair and that brought a smile!

We went out to lunch afterward with Miss New Hair.  She was so excited.  It's so strange to see her with straight hair but of course it's just as cute.

Nice Little Saturday

Charlotte and I went to the salon one Saturday morning for Mother Daughter haircuts.  Charlotte took to the salon like a duck to water.

My haircut took longer than hers so she had to wait it out in a salon chair.  She did really well for having to be patient while 2 years old.

After our salon visit, we went to Target with a pit stop at the Target Starbucks.  Cake pops for the win!

 Cake pop face!

Cake pop face numero dos!

We probably took 37 selfies.  Good times!

We had a nice little Saturday together. :-)

Charlotte's First Haircut!

We finally had Charlotte's hair cut for the first time.  Officially, that is.  The first cut was just me snipping off her ponytail.  That doesn't count.  So we took her to the Haircut Corner which is actually a Barbershop where we take Tommy.  Probably should have taken her to a salon and did it up all fancy-like but we opted for this instead.  Her hair is going to do nothing but grow so we'll have many more chances. :)

I didn't take an official before picture so you can just watch this video of her morning hair craziness.  You can also watch the trampoline park video below.  It is pretty crazy in that video too.

Here is Charlotte during the haircut.  She was a CHAMP!! She let her spray it, cut it and use a hair dryer on it! Impressive! Girl is ready to be pampered!

I was a little unsure of how it was going to turn out because it looked a little Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music when she first cut it.  But Charlotte can pull off any look. :)

I have yet to take a decent picture of her haircut but I promise it's super cute.  She's gotten lots of compliments at school too.

This is a pretty good one of the back. She has the most beautiful color(s) of hair.  I call it Jennifer Aniston color.  It's awesome and she didn't pay thousands like Aniston probably did! Love those natural highlights! She's a lucky gal.
Don't you love the Daddy Daughter Dancing picture? I think I have a better one.
I wish I got more of Dada in this picture but the look on her face is priceless.

Happy First Haircut, Baby Girl!

Hello Tommy! Another Update

What's going on with our dear Tommy T?
Well tons of bike riding, of course!

Biking riding through piles of leaves!! Must be fall!! Leaves everywhere!!

 Always inquisitive!

 Five heads? Why not?

See how hard he's concentrating on learning how to drive a Yogurt Car? The GoPro is capturing every moment. :-)

So much fun!

He got to ride with Grandpa in the semi and combine recently.  He loved it!

He asked to be a fire breathing dragon for Halloween.  He's doing a great job of modeling the first draft of his costume.

He did great at his most recent haircut.  Except for that whole nail biting thing. Ugh.  I just quit biting mine! (Sort of.)  I really didn't want him to have a 30 year habit like I did/do.  :-(

He loves Mama's new car.  The sun roof blows his mind.  So does that sucker.
