We hosted two Thanksgivings again this year. It was exhausting but really great at the same time. It's always nice to get together with family but our families are the bestest so that makes it even better. I only took pictures of Thanksgiving number 1 with the Thornburgs.
It was so beautiful outside that day. I fear it was our last nice day of the year. But it was a great one. We actually ate Thanksgiving dinner out on our porch. We had the best food. The turkey was so good. It was super moist. I think it was because I wrapped it with bacon. Ha!
The kids got to see their baby cousin Wyatt. Charlotte is probably one of his biggest fans. So kah-yute, as she would say.
The kids also enjoyed playing with their cousin, David (well, actually second cousin once removed, I believe is the correct term). Tommy was sad to see him go. Until next year, buddy. Until next year.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! The Christmas countdown is on!

Thanksgiving Numero Uno
Tommy had his first Thanksgiving celebration on Thursday. We had visitors from Chicago, Syracuse (IN), and Columbus (OH). Andrew's uncle from Columbus brought Tommy a hockey jersey from the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey team.
It's a little big still but he's only going to get bigger!Tommy wore his Thanksgiving best for the occasion.
Look at him go!!
Of course he drooled right dow the front of it as soon as he put it on.
Tommy had a great time playing with his family.
He loved his cousin, (second cousin? 1st cousin once removed? I don't know) David. I promise he did, even though he looks like he's choking him here.
He also gave him lots of high fives.
I snapped a picture of the kitchen right before Thanksgiving dinner was served. We have something like 50 feet of countertop and we still don't have enough room. :)
Tommy enjoyed his first taste of real (not pureed) Thanksgiving turkey.
He also ate some Thanksgiving bananas... because that's such a thing when you have an almost one year old.
Uh oh! That tryptophan must be kicking in!
Tommy got to open a Christmas and birthday gift while we gave thanks.
He got a book, a puzzle and a super cute outfit plus some hand-me-downs worn by his cousin David.
Did I mention that he loved his cuz?? :-)
Aww, dada and Tommy giving thanks for so many things.
Like cute turkey butts.
And fun rocking chairs.
The next morning we went to brunch at Cracker Barrel.
Try not to eat that crayon, Tommy T!
Look at that fancy rocking chair!!!! We were definitely blessed with beautiful weather for our Thanksgiving weekend.
Andrew's aunt and uncle also brought us this sweet baby carrier.
Happy boys!
Look at that face! What a goof!!
Our first Thanksgiving at our new house and also Tommy's first Thanksgiving was a huge success! So much to be thankful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving!

High in the Middle and Round on Both Sides
Andrew went to Columbus last week to go to the Purdue/Ohio State game. He stayed with his uncle Andy who got him tickets to the game. Here is a shot of Value City Arena in the first half.
It is apparent that they like their football team just a liiiiiiittle bit more. But hey, it's a big place.
Purdue got an exciting win at OSU so Andrew was very happy. The people sitting around him weren't very happy to see a man in gold and black in a sea of scarlet and gray but he kept his mouth shut and they let him stay. Smart move, Drewfus!
But those people sitting around Andrew don't know that I'm here on the internet talking smack! Haha, yeah right. I actually had to google "Ohio State jokes". They were terrible. The typical "Would you like fries with that?" jokes. Just bad. But one bad joke did catch my eye.
Q: What does the average OSU student get on his SAT?
A: Drool.
Ok it wasn't that good. But have you seen this?
He's a walk-on at OSU. Funny guy. He said some nice things about Purdue on his blog (which is cool because he is a life long IU fan).
Back to the subject at hand, Andrew's Uncle Andy and Aunt Laura graciously hosted Andrew for the night. Their son David made this AWESOME Valentine's Day card for Andrew.
Love it!
So here's a shout-out to Andy, Laura and David: Thanks for the hospitality. I hope I can join Andrew and visit next time! Hopefully we can finally see Bon-Journey in all their wicked hair banger glory!
