What have Tommy and Charlotte been up to this summer? Well let's find out.
Charlotte had a lot of splash days at school.
Tommy had one splash day when the bus wasn't working and the rest of the time, they went to the pool. He learned to swim!! It was so exciting!
We also discovered a new place to eat because they were going there for school. We called and found out he can have chicken nuggets and fries. His favorite!!
Charlotte was not as excited but she certainly does love cheese pizza.
After Arni's, we went to another local favorite, Igloo Frozen Custard. The kids got slushes. Yum!
Then they tried to get a drink from the water fountain.
Then they climbed the poles around the outdoor seating area.
Tommy won the Spy Challenge at Summer Camp. He didn't break any streamers. Nice!!!
The kids enjoyed dogpiling Dada.
Charlotte has spent a lot of the summer dressing up.
And also hanging out with friends, Grady and Nolan.
She was excited about that, can't you tell?
They did a lot of building.
Charlotte also dabbled in makeup.
Lots of fun this summer at Summer Camp and at home!

July Birthdays (Catch Up Post Time)
We celebrated all the July birthdays in our family at Adam and Emily's new house back in July.
We have more July birthdays than this plus Tommy and Charlotte weren't born in July.
I made a beautiful pineapple upside down cake but it didn't let it cool long enough and it split. Bummer! Still pretty and it tasted pretty dang good too.
I made Andrew a chocolate Slayer cake. SLAAAYYYEEERRR!!!
I had saved this picture almost a year ago and finally got to recreate it for his b-day. ;) The execution was better in this picture but the Twizzlers were definitely a winning addition.
Charlotte wanted to write her name on Dada's card. She started with a C and proceeded to draw an H but then turned it into an A. An A and a C. That's what you see too, right? :)
We found out Charlotte looks great in everything!
Show us who's boss, girl!
We walked down to the park walk off some of that birthday cake. Charlotte loves to swing!
She loves the bridge too!
Uncle Adam brought his GoPro and snapped some pics.
A fun time was had by all and Adam and Emily's new house is fantastic. Thanks for having us (two months later). :)

Diane's Rooftop Pool Birthday Party
Kevin is definitely the ultimate thrower of b-day parties. He planned this party for Diane and it was a quite the success.
First, did you know there was a roof top pool hotel in Indy? I guess so because that's where we were!
Group pic of all the party people.
Ladies picture!
Cheers to many more years! :)
We went to dinner after after the pool. Diane was excited about her birthday dessert. :)
After that, we went to a bar with a live band. They might have been country but they were super fun! But live music always is.
Another picture of the ladies! :)
And as always, the last two couples standing... the Thornburgs and the Neals. :) We know how to have a good time, that's for sure.
4th of July Weekend and a Waterpark
Fourth of July weekend calls for some summer fun.
We went to Prophetstown Water Park. Tommy got to go down the slide even though he wasn't tall enough, we snuck him down once. The second time we weren't so successful and had the walk down all the stairs. Total bummer.
But we still had a great time. Lots of other stuff to do there anyway.
We actually thought to bring snacks so we didn't need to buy anything there and it was only $5 to get in. Nice!
We all had a great time!
Tommy called this whirlpool thingy a toilet bowl. It was near the lazy river and it would just spin the kids in circles. Toilet bowl is an appropriate name. :)
This picture cracks me up.
Happy Super Late 4th of July, everyone! :)

That night we went to Monticello to a firework watching party. The kids got to use huge sparklers.

Surprise Visit from Maria (and the Last Baseball Game)
Tommy's last baseball game was on a beautiful day.
They didn't know if everyone would make it to the final game so they had already handed out trophies.
It was Maria! She was in Indiana so I got to see her. It was a SUCH a nice visit and I got to see Nonie too. She was such a doll baby! Loved her! What a wonderful surprise!

But they took a special moment at the end of the game to hand out the last trophy for the Tomster. He was so excited to have it. He took it everywhere with him for a couple weeks. :)
While I was taking a video of him at the game, my phone rang.
Vacay with the Neals
In what was a vacation that almost didn't happen due to bad weather, we drove down to Sandestin, FL for a quick adults only vacation.
First picture of the trip! Riding in the back of the golf cart to head to the beach.
Couple selfie on the beach.
Having a great time!
We call this picture "Riding the Storm Out". A quick storm blew through and everyone scattered from the beach. But not us! We held down the fort and then the weather cleared up. We continued celebrating!
A couple days into the vacay, I got sun poisoning like I always do. Time for a sun shirt and huge hat!
We vacations during Travis's birthday so on the big day, we went out to celebrate. Oyster-style!
Guess whose finger that is? Hmmm...
Couple selfie with matching shirts! When you grow old together, you start dressing alike! This is not the first time. :)
We ended Travis's birthday at a Piano Bar. They played No Diggity for him. Ha!
The last day it was overcast so we took it easy. Can you spot Andrew?
We went out to dinner that night and went shopping. Watched some fireworks. Perfect end to an awesome getaway!
