I feel the need to explain one thing about the blog that might add to your enjoyment, if you did not realize you could do this already. When you see text that is a different color, (in most cases, it's going to be lime green instead of white) I have put a link on the website to something I'm talking about. So often times when we dine out somewhere, I will link the name of a restaurant, say McDonalds, to the restaurant's website or a yelp review or something.
Or I'll reference a story from the past that I may have written about on the blog, say like my very first blog post, so you can click on it and it will take you directly there.
Don't feel the need to click on every single link if you don't feel like it. I just think it will enhance your experience if you know what I'm talking about.
For instance in the post below, you will see me link to the blog posts about seeing Jack when he is 3 days old and when Ray was 2 months old.
Second thing I wanted to add is that if you click on a picture, it will take you to a larger version of the picture. So if you want, you can right click on the picture and save it. Then you can do what ever you want with it after that (except for using it in Paint, that's my job).
So I hope I have enhanced your blog reading experience. Enjoy!!

The Three M's and Their Little Boys
Sunday was a special treat for me. I got to see two of my very best friends from high school that I love dearly and their two boys (who I now also love dearly!) My friend Megan lives in Indy and since we moved to South Bend, I only get to see her about once a year at the annual Glover Christmas Party. I got to meet her little boy shortly after he was born but I haven't seen him since. My other friend Meeghan lives in New Mexico (but is moving to Nashville this fall!!) and I haven't seen her since shortly after her son was born and he's almost TWO!
Meeghan was going to be in town from ABQ so we scheduled a mommy/baby play date luncheon type thing. It was AWESOME!! It was SOOO good to see these girls.
The play date started off a little rough. Tommy wasn't there for maybe 5 minutes when he started barfing. He choked on his phlegm when he coughed and just yakked and yakked and yakked. I felt so awful. First of all, he retched all over himself in his really cute Polo shirt and all over the carpet at Megan's parents' house. Then he scared himself and screamed and cried. Then he fell down and cried again.
I told the girls that it was just like how I used to party in college. Scream, cry, fall down, and barf all over everything. :)
So here is Tommy after the 'incident'. (There's Jack in the background. He knows to keep his distance.)As soon as Jack and Tommy sat by each other, I told Ray to go over and sit by them so I could start being a photo hog. Poor kids. But you can tell, they are used to getting their pictures taken. But DUH! They're so dang cute, of course they're going to have their pictures taken paparazzo style.
But Tommy always wants me to get a close up of him.
The boys had a great time playing together especially with that ottoman. It was the perfect height for the boys to pull themselves up.
But Little Ray was always King of the Hill and rightly so. :)
So here are the three M's and their boys. Morgan, Megan, Meeghan with Tommy the Tank, Jackman, and Lil Ray the Rooster. (I just realized the similarities between these boys. Tommy and Jack were named after their grandpas and Ray was named after his daddy! Aww!)
In the last picture, Tommy and Jack were paying attention to Ray but in this one they're like "When can we get down?"
Awww! Look at Ray Jr. So cute! He's going to be a big brother to a little boy in January!
Here's Jack! Blue-eyed, blonde haired boy. Looks just like his daddy!
Look at Tommy T. The girls were telling me that they thought he looked like Andrew. I didn't realize until I saw this picture that they are RIGHT!
JUST like him!!! WOWZERS! A mini Drewfus!
Awww Tommy and Jack exchanging pleasantries. :)
Oh the trouble we used to cause. Now we're trying to keep our boys out of trouble. :)
But they're such good boys. They don't need any help. Look at Ray and Tommy hugging. So cute!
It was so hard to say goodbye (Boyz II Men anyone?) but the boys were getting fussy. It was definitely nap time.
Tommy had fallen asleep by the time he reached Bunkum Road (that only means something if you're from Renssy). He was TIRED! That play date really pooped him out. He took an excellent nap when we got home.
It was so good to see those girls, especially with their boys. It's so cool to see my friends become parents. I hope I get to see them more often. My favorite quote of the day, "I ain't afraid to dish out a whoopin'!"
Bang Bang, I am the Warrior!
(Did you know the lyrics right before that are Shooting at the Walls of Heartache? Me neither!)
Andrew and Travis signed up for the The Warrior Dash in Crawfordsville this weekend. It's basically a 3-mile race with obstacles all throughout. It was quite a party. It was the first year for it and they had 8300 registrations. It was awesome!
It was very hot that day. Katie and I brought the little boys to watch the big boys run. They look like they are having a good time.
We watched the runners near the finish line. The runners are encouraged to wear costumes. Can you tell what this guy is? (Long hair, long beard, loin cloth, carrying a fed ex package? Get it? Get it? Tom Hanks from Castaway)
There goes Travis! At this point in the race, they had just jumped over a fire. They kept stoking it so it looked pretty scary.
Andrew isn't far behind.
Then came the mud. You can see Andrew DOVE in head first. He seems to be the only one that did that in this picture.
It was extremely hard to move in this mud. He fell down 3 different times.
Here he is falling for the third time.
VICTORIOUS!
Like I said before, only Andrew put his whole head under. There was so much mud. They had a rinse-off pond and Andrew went in twice but he still didn't get all the mud off.
Here are three disgusting super heros that ran the race in these costumes. Blech.
When you finished the race, you got a fuzzy horned helmet hat as part of the participation package. Wyatt wasn't really sure what to think about his dad wearing that hat.
Check out Andrew, Travis and Tommy dancing and rapping to the DJ that was playing music. I think it was Black Eyed Peas. Feel free to make fun of them at will. :)
Oh look! Here's Andrew winning the parent of the year award. :)
Looking at this picture it makes me think... my, how our lives have changed.
We came back to Brookston that night and spent the night at the Neals. Andrew and Travis worked on their podcast. More to come on that later.
The next morning the boys played with toys. Wyatt showed 'Nommy' (that's what he kept calling him) how to play the drums.
Then 'Nommy' played the bongos while Wyatt danced.
It was a super fun weekend. I can't wait for the Warrior Dash next year. Katie and I are going to wear our kimonos! Who knows what Andrew and Travis will wear. They better start working on it now. (And I think I better start training immediately. :)

Baby Number Three!
Our good friends and neighbors Tom and Jenny (you might remember them from our vegas trip last year) had a baby today.
Meet Mallory Haven Zmyslo...
I'm sure big brother Colin and big sister Marin (and bro-dog Monty) are so excited. Congrats you guys! She's gorgeous! We're so happy for you!

Tommy Two-Teeth
Just recently we were blessed with the amazingly fun process of TEETHING!!! Tommy was quite fussy and a little sickly throughout the sprouting of two teeth in less than two weeks. It's the bottom two. (I've been clued in that the top two front teeth are even worse. Hooray!)
Now that they've busted through, I've been trying to get a picture. (Notice the sweet potatoes that didn't get wiped off his face.) I've tried doing close ups. SUPER Close ups.
I've tried getting a helper to open his mouth. This just pissed him off.
I tried taking pictures sideways.
I've tried upside down pictures. Nothing seems to be working.
(By the way, look at how dirty his onesie is! Gross! Someone's been chowing down on baby food!)
But I know pretty soon, he'll be smiling with that toothy grin and he won't be able to hide them for much longer.
I'll keep trying to catch a glimpse of the elusive toofers. :)
Trials and Tribulations of Baby Food
Yum sweet potatoes! He is a big fan. Practically attacks the spoon.
But how do you get them on your forehead?
I think I'll have some sweet potatoes.... oh crap, I missed.

Dining out with G-ma & G-pa
Last week, we went out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa at the Sportsman in Monticello.
Tommy was getting super excited to eat on Lake Freeman! Love that face.
Smiley boy! He definitely enjoyed his ride over to the restaurant.
He loves menus no matter where we go. I think he's ready to order. :)
"I believe I'll have the parmesan encrusted haddock filet with your seasoned vegetables, please. And can I get a nice pinot grigio to compliment my entree? Quickly please. Harumph."
Tommy got a little bored at dinner so Grandma took him out on the deck to look at the water.
Then Grandpa took a turn and they went out on the patio to listen to the Tone Bones (another band my parents follow).
It was a little loud so we decided to take the boy home but Tommy had a nice little evening with music and really good food.

A Typical Tuesday
What's a typical day like for Tommy T?
Today it was a musical instrument!
We usually have to change his outfit when he gets home because he's usually covered in drool and cereal.
Today we chose his "Teething Bites" onesie with the crocodile. Thanks Gram! :)
Today we fed him pears. He LOVES pears!! YUM YUM YUM!!
Then he lets us know that he did not get enough pears.
So we let him lick the bowl clean!
Then it's bath time! Guess who can pull himself up to the tub now? (And guess who has the cutest diaper butt EVER?)
Time to get clean! He loves bath time. He's definitely a splasher.
He's also a wash cloth eater too. Yummy bathwater!! :)
Then it's time for bed! Typical Tommy Tuesday!
