We made a day trip to Indy on Saturday for Max's 1st birthday party. Boy, it was weird to go to a party there with 8 babies and 4 preggos. The last time we were at their house was for a New Year's Eve party complete with a full beer pong tournament. The day/night turned out much different this time around.
Starting with BIRTHDAY CAKE!!
YUM! Sugar high!
Here's Andrew holding Max's best bud Jack. I'm sure Jack was a little jealous of the cake chow down but his birthday is in a few weeks too. Just hang on until then, Jack. Not too much longer!
Here are the best buds Jack and Max playing with the coolest toy. I want one! (Do they make them in adult sizes?) It's Max's inflatable hopping horse named Rody! So cool! It comes in many colors. It's also French. Oh la la. :)
Just as we were thinking about taking off, Max became extremely interested in those bright shiny presents in the corner. Turns out, he started opening ours first! Andrew picked out and wrapped this gift all by himself so I couldn't wait to see how Max would like it.
Oddly enough, it became a baby magnet! Everyone wanted to play with the cool new toy. It is this top-like device that you put plastic balls in, press down on the top, and the inside starts spinning. When the inside spins it throws the balls around and when you open the window the balls fly out. It was a HIT! They would pick up the balls and put them back in and watch them shoot out again. Tons of fun for those baby boys!
Note to self: Have Andrew pick out all kids gifts from now. :)
Look at how fun this is!
After the birthday bash, we headed over to the Glovers to see new baby Jack.
Look at him!! So tiny and so cute! Happy 3rd day of life Baby Jack!
I'm sad I didn't get a picture with Megan or Tristan but I guess that's what happens when you have a baby. Better get used to it huh? :-)
I can't believe we're going to have one of these soon! CRAZY!
Oh quick side note. We woke up Saturday morning to THIS before leaving South Bend.
Yep, the Great White North is back for another season! It was fun to show everyone in Indy how much snow we got.
I really don't think they were jealous. Weird, huh? :)
But by the time we got home that night, the snow was mostly gone. This is abnormal for South Bend, only because we usually have snow like this in October so it's a little late this year. Yeah, abnormal in THAT regard. Oh joy.
