Tommy loves books. This is a understatement. He ADORES books. He has a deep regard for them. :) He has loved books since we forced him to listen to us reading them when he was a teeny babe. So he's in preschool now and he's learning the basics of letters and their sounds and he's so close to being able to read. Until then, he has basically memorized every single Avengers book he owns. We don't even have to read to him anymore.
Makes our job SUPER easy. The funny thing is we really don't read him this book that often. When he started reading it for Andrew one night, Andrew was amazed. He has almost the whole thing memorized. It doesn't hurt that it's about the Avengers, that's for sure. But still, these are really long pages!!!
This kid? He is awesome.

Bedtime With Two
Bedtime is interesting these days.

Tommy likes to set Charlotte up for the night. She needs to have all her buddies, just like he does.

Then it's time for Tommy to tell tall tales of the term. (Term? Yeah I ran out of T words.)
Charlotte is astounded. (Or she's saying, "lol, wut?")

Then Tommy wanted to read her one of his favorite books. Again, she's enthralled.

Then it's time for Tommy to turn in. If you look closely, you might be able to count at least 7 lumps of stuffed animal friends who are all under the covers with him.
Nighty night!

GROWING!
Tommy has been putting it back lately. We think he may be going through a growth spurt. We'll see what you think.
He's been sleeping more lately. He's also been eating everything in sight!
He can't be satiated!
This sounds like a lot of food to me. What do you think? Tonight he ate a cup of applesauce, Kix cereal, a serving of turkey and a sippy cup of water. But that's not all...
Then an hour or so later he had some milk, ate a small bowl of broccoli and a cup of mandarin oranges! Oh and more Kix! That kid LOVES Kix! And plain broccoli? Barf! But he loves it!
He loves it so much that he screams for more!
Mmmm broccoli!
So we also think he has grown lately too. It's really hard to tell but we've noticed his dunking skills have improved. This picture was taken on Christmas day. He really had to reach for the basket!
This was taken today around a week and a half later. Holy Godzilla! MONSTER SLAM! TOMAHAWK JAM! I think the boy grew a foot taller! (Morganism).
Balls and Books. The kid loves them. Why not try to put them together? I have a feeling that won't be the last odd thing he tries to put in that hoop. Or a toilet. Better protect my iPhone. :-/

Halloween Part Deux
Zoinks! Was that a ghost??
On Halloween night, Tommy wore his Halloweenie PJs. We read some books as a family on the floor. This is by far his favorite book.
Lift the flap books are the best.
Is that a full moon for Halloween??
Then he turned his attention to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
Let's listen to Tommy read the story.
What a great storyteller!!

Not Suitable for Work or Children
If you are offended by cusswords, you will want to stop reading IMMEDIATELY!!
Okay for those of you that are not squares, I hope this makes your day.
I had heard of this book. I didn't realize that it was a children's book though. I thought it was going to be some sort of instruction manual on getting kids to go to sleep. You know, the kind that disguise themselves as something REALLY funny on the cover and then it's just the same old boring crap on the inside. A lot of pregnancy books claim to be so hilarious like this but are really teary eyed recounts of their childbirthing experiences.
So when I read the title of "Go the **** to Sleep" I thought it was too good to be true. It's not. Check it out. They couldn't have picked a better person to read for this. Seriously, genius. (Cusswords aplenty so BEWARE! Not for work environments! You can't say I didn't warn you.)
The audio version is free for now on Amazon.com if you're interested. Just don't buy it to play for your kids. These are not words that kids should be repeating.
