On Saturday, we drove down to Westfield for Erin's wedding.
Look at that beautiful bride and handsome groom! Aww!
They drove off in a sweet Camaro while people waved black and white ribbons.
It was only 100+ degrees that day so I'm sure they were perfectly comfortable. :) Good thing they had a breeze (while moving).
After the ceremony, the wedding party drove pontoons across the Morse Reservoir to the reception hall which was the South Harbour Clubhouse in Noblesville.
We all got to watch them get their pictures taken on the boat and on the beach outside the reception hall. It was so cute and the sunset on the lake was awesome!
The pictures on the boat turned out awesome. These are my friend Sarah's pictures so I can't wait to see what the photographer, (Trucker) Jen, was able to capture. :)
What a gorgeous bride!
Lindsey gave the speech as the matron of honor. She did a wonderful job. Lindsey described Erin perfectly, as a scientist (she's a DVM) who sees everything in black and white. She never believed in being swept off her feet until Chris came along. She told Lindsey, "Linds, I'm a goner." Too cute!
Erin and Chris came over to our table for a little bit.
The table decorations were awesome, as per usual. Lindsey's mom does an awesome job.
After dinner it was dancing time. We did some major dancing! A lot of the robot actually. :)
They played an iPod with some sweet tunes and we partied down...
While posing for some Bomber pictures...
And more Bomber pictures! Corn-fed girls from Rensselaer! :)
Then Chris's friend's band played. They were a country band which is not always my cup of tea but they rocked. Plus they played a few non-country songs and let Chris, his brother, and dad sing. This was Superstitious by Stevie Wonder. You can see Erin's nephew, a 10.5 month old little man named Kason (also the ring bearer). He was still up jamming to the band. :)
Surprisingly, all 3 kids (two flower girl nieces and one ring bearer nephew) were awake (kinda) for most of the night. They must have enjoyed rocking out to the band.
Most of the pictures above are from Sarah's super nice camera. I only had my iPhone and this picture is pretty much the best shot that my phone took that evening. We look like we're being followed by paparazzi (only because someone else's flash went off when Andrew took the picture).
I took a picture of the dance floor. I really enjoyed the girl in the blue. She was sashaying and doing a hoe down for most of the night. It was quite entertaining.
Andrew enjoyed watching the dance floor too... from a chair. :)
The end of the night was when the creeps really started to come out. Who interrupts a bride and groom while they're dancing?? Come on! :)
Oh, bridesmaids. That's who interrupts a bride and groom during the last dance of the night. :)
Congrats on your wedding, Erin and Chris! It was gorgeous!! We had a wonderful time. We wish you many years of happiness!

Pass the Mic 2012
So I hosted the Queen Contest again this year. I don't know why I enjoy this so much. Public speaking? Isn't that like the number one fear people have? Me too but it's an adrenaline rush and I love it.
Year three (Here's 2010 and 2011) for me hosting the show and this year was no different than the rest. Lots of stalling practices and air conditioning jokes. Fun stuff!
I didn't take any pictures of me this year but I did take pictures of what it looks like from where I'm standing at the podium.
This was the night before the pageant. We always do a dress rehearsal the night before. I had to make it sneaky because I was supposed to be paying attention to my duties as MC. But I snuck a pic anyway. :) You can see the "runway" if you will. You can also sort of see the bleachers in the back too. This year the theme was Hollywood Glamour or something like that and the runway was actually a red carpet!
For some reason they had the ladies turn around on stage so I snapped a pic of their very pretty dresses. They had some really cool dresses this year. I know you're wondering and yes that is a camouflage dress with an orange underlay in the middle there. Where do you find one of those?? Unique, that's for sure! :)
There isn't much in the paper yet but there will be more on Monday so I'll add the new link then. But for now, this is what's in the paper, if you're interested.

Happy 4th of July 2012!
Oh, the 4th of July. It's a great holiday. I love going back and looking at the past two years on the blog (here 2010 and here 2011). So much has changed. I can't believe how fast time has gone since that first 4th on the blog. Seems like just yesterday...
Aww, look at Morgan and Andrew pre-Tommy (well he was there, just in my belly).
Mama and dada and our happy little bald baby...
So for July 4th, 2012, we decided to stay home since it fell on a Wednesday and it was hotter than blue blazes outside.
We decided to have Travis, Katie, Wyatt, Harper, Matt, Claire, Bella and Kaiden (I may have spelled that wrong) over to our house.
We set up water toys in the yard. We thought this was a good idea until we realized that we would actually have to be outside with the kids. Just a little too hot to just sit out in the heat.
But we did nonetheless. We suited the kids up and played outside.
After about 5 minutes, we came back inside. Thank goodness for air conditioning and tasty treats! There's little lady Harper enjoying a bottle.
Claire made some awesome dipped pretzels that she found the idea for on pinterest. Very festive!
We eventually ventured back outside to give it another go. Look at the three men and a little lady. :)
Bella and Wyatt took turns using Tommy's Batmobile Trike. It was a hit!
Look at our patriotic little dude!
"You're a grande ol' flag. You're a high flying flag, and forever in peace may you waaaavvveee!!" Also notice he is wearing his Captain America shirt. That's right. He loves 'MERICA.
Wyatt wanted in on the patriotic action. :)
Then it was time to go potty. Learning from Travis and Katie, I think this is the way we will potty train Tommy. He was very interested. He even lifted his shirt to see what he could find down there. :)
July 4th was actually Claire's due date. She was impressive, I must say. For being full-term, she was running around playing with Wyatt. Ain't no stopping this pregnant woman! Yeah Claire! (Two things about this picture: Notice the dress that Katie is wearing? That's actually my dress from the first picture in this post. Katie sat in the chair in the 5th picture, where Tommy is sitting in his swim suit. I guess those swim diapers don't actually hold anything in and it SOAKED that chair. Which in turn, when Katie sat there, soaked her first dress of the day. I let her borrow one of mine and randomly I happened to wear it on the 4th two years ago. Interesting coincidence right?)
I guess the chaser became the chasee! :) Wyatt got her! Oh no!!
Tommy got his turn on his batmobile trike. :) But he kinda just sat there because it was too hot to move.
Tommy didn't get to see any fireworks. He was wayyyyyy too tired to stay up until after dark. He went to bed like a good boy. Even so, he really enjoyed his second 4th of July.
Oh and by the way, Claire had her baby!

Hatley Faith was born Saturday morning (7/7), 6 lbs 15 oz, 18 3/4 inches. Congrats to Claire and Matt and their whole family. Very exciting news!

I'm Farming and I Grow It
I enjoy parody videos (a la THIS) but I discovered this video the other day and I think it just so funny.
Cracks me up.
They are becoming quite famous if you check out their Facebook page. Very cool story.

Haircut #3: Cut That Mullet
We have been letting Tommy's hair grow out lately. He was in desperate need for a haircut when we finally went to see Steph. You can see his little mullet below.
Lots and lots of hair! So what do you do when you have a lot of hair? You take that "party in the back" and put it in to a ponytail!! (Yes, those are each separate links and each is well worth the click.)
That is some LONG hair on our little man.
I think this put Andrew over the edge. He decided it was time for a haircut after this.
So we took Tommy to see Steph at The Hairman (jeez, people, have you liked them on Facebook? Go do it right now!) You would think he would be used to getting his haircut by now. She's cut it twice before (1st haircut and 2nd haircut).
This was the last moment before he lost his sh*t. He did okay until she needed to cut by his ears. HE DOES NOT LIKE.
Andrew took this picture. Poor kid. You can see the fear in his eyes. NOT MY EARS!! LEAVE MY EARS ALONE!! NOOOO!!!
Jeez Tommy. It's not like she was trying to give you one of these haircuts... (You must look at them. You MUST. This is my favorite.
Once the hair crisis was over, Tommy had his run of the shop.
He also got his first sucker, sour apple. He LOVED it.
Look at that big boy with his fresh haircut.
What a cutie pie! He's so grown up!
