Everett Turns One!

Neals planned a super fun party for Everett to turn one.
Who would have thought hanging balloons from trees would be hours of entertainment?

Time for the cake smash!  Everett wasn't sure what to think.

Let's try dipping his head in it! He wasn't too sure about that either.

The kids had fun playing with Harper's princess castle.

Charlotte sat with Grandma Huffman and played with baby Connor.

Later we roasted marshmallows.  We didn't bring any Tommy chocolate but Katie came to the rescue with some Hershey syrup to make Smores.  Yum!

Everett is one! I can't believe our kids are growing up so fast!

Meet You At Arni's!

We are still meeting for Arni's in Lebanon whenever we can.
We started to add a little technology so that Maria could join us from Colorado.  Group selfie!

We see you Maria!!

I'm still so glad we started this tradition so we could keep up with each other as our lives get so busy.  Plus the whole Arni's bonus! Yay!

A New Cousin: Wyatt Charles is Born!

The Hartleys, Aunt Erin and Uncle Doug, welcomed their bouncing baby boy into the world on September 2nd.  He was 7 lbs 14 oz, 22 inches and has blonde hair.  His name is Wyatt Charles.
Sorry for the late post! He's the best!

This is my favorite picture so far.  Not just because he's wearing the Purdue blanket we got him but he's also wearing Tommy and Charlotte's newborn cap.   Awwww, sweet baby.

We went to visit Baby Cousin Wyatt over Labor Day weekend.
I didn't know what she might need so I packed up all my old crap and brought her, hopefully, some stuff she could use.

Ahh squishy babies are the best! He's so little!!

Charlotte was obsessed! She seems so giant next to him.  She kept calling him Baby Kyatt.

Tommy also loved him, of course.  How could you not?

Then he pooped on him.  This was the reaction shot the moment it happened.  So funny!

Charlotte took another turn holding him.  She was such a big girl holding! She probably could have held him all night.

But the kids did eventually get really antsy so we went out in the backyard and played with Cooper the dog.
I had to get a sunburst pic of Tom and Coop.

Love the colors in this one.  Especially her eyes.

Look at that hair! It's so light! The kids couldn't stop playing with his feet.  So funny.

On the way home, I got a notification from WLFI that they were opening I-65 back up in about an hour.  We wondered if they went ahead and opened it.  So we drove by it and the barriers had been moved.  We turned the car around and headed back to the interstate and hopped on.  There wasn't a car in sight for 35 miles!!! We were completely by ourselves.  We had a feeling all the cars on the other side of the road were staring us down.  One truck stopped on the overpass to look at us driving by.  Too funny.   It was a very exciting day for many reasons.
Happy Birthday, Baby Wyatt!

Parents Need Fun Times Too: Kevin's Birthday Edition

Diane planned a super fun night for Kevin's birthday with a pink party bus tour around Indy.
This whole rowdy group showed up to party.

Diane made Kevin dance with her on the bus to "I've Had the Time of My Life".  Pure romance!

Then Kevin proceeded to moon people as we drove around downtown Indy.

 There was lots of dancing...

 And photobombing!

We ordered and Uber.  He blasted the same 3 songs by Jason Derulo over and over and set up a disco ball on the console.  It was quite a ride home to Westfield.

Alan missed most of it. :)

The next morning we went to McDonalds for breakfast.  Oh man, we NEVER eat McDonalds (they don't have anything Tommy can eat).  What a disgusting treat!! I was SOOOO excited.

We came home and had a movie night with the family.  So much fun watching Big Hero 6 after missing our kiddos for the night.  So good to be home.

State Fair Visit 2015

We couldn't let the State Fair go by without bringing the kids down for a visit.
They had a ride deal that day so Tommy went on every ride there.  We tagged along too.  The ferris wheel was the only one we could ride as a family.  Tommy is NOT afraid of heights, unlike his mother.

Charlotte wasn't too impressed with the ferris wheel I guess.

 Family selfie, of course.

We had an excellent view of the midway.  It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day!

 Tommy rode a horse!

Then we found a playhouse that was for sale for the fair cost of $5000.  The kids REALLY wanted it.
We said sorry 'bout ya. They went down the slides plenty of times.  I'm sure they got their fill. :)

We fed the goats.  The pellets were a quarter and the goats wanted nothing to do with them.  We bought carrots for $2 and they freaked out.

 COME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!

We went to the glass barn again.  You might remember it from 2014 and 2013. I love seeing the family pictures change each year.  Charlotte was asleep so she missed the picture in 2014.
There was a lovely green tint on us in each picture.  Not sure what was going on.

THIS.  This picture cracks me up.

Charlotte's picture didn't quite turn out as well.

On the way home, we had a detour due to 65 being closed and the kids were having lots of trouble staying awake.

We sang and danced to keep them awake and succeeded in no one sleeping and ruining their bedtimes!! Yay!

Another fun visit to the state fair! Good times!

Quick Photo Shoot with Charlotte

I needed some pictures of Charlotte for her birthday invitation.  We set up an impromptu photo shoot and off we went!
"Oh joy," Charlotte says.

But then she came around.  Smize, girl!

Whoops, Smizing too hard. ;-)

This is the picture I ended up using.  I just love the headband pull and smile.  Adorable.

I love this profile shot.  Had to post it.

I also love the extreme happiness of this shot.  Ok, all done posting her glamour shots... on to more fun activities in our lives.
